Colorado Arborists and Lawn Care Professionals’ (CALCP) 2019 Day of Service in April included two sites: Brookdale Highline Senior Living Solutions, Denver, and Denver Dumb Friends League shelter.

Approximately 20 CALCP members donated their time and talent at the two locations. Volunteers planted flowers and trees, pruned existing trees, removed dead trees, aerated, seeded and cleaned up grounds at both the Brookdale facility and at Denver Dumb Friends League. In addition, some trees were replaced at the Dumb Friends shelter.

Special thanks to Welby Gardens for donating all of the flowers and to Alameda Wholesale Nursery for the deep discount on the trees.

In all, 15 CALCP companies provided volunteers.
