2026 Legislative Bill Tracker – Executive Summary
As of February 16, 2026
On February 11, GreenCO joined partners in the Colorado Pesticide Coalition for an Advocacy Day at the Capitol to discuss concerns with SB26-065, legislation that would require a third-party “prescription” before certain neonicotinoid-treated seeds could be used. While targeted at agricultural seed treatments, the bill signals a broader shift in how pesticide products could be regulated in Colorado.
For licensed pesticide applicators, this type of framework raises important concerns — including potential delays in product access, increased compliance requirements, added costs, and reduced flexibility to make timely, site-specific pest management decisions.
GreenCO supports responsible stewardship and science-based regulation. We remain committed to protecting your ability as certified applicators to use professional judgment, follow label requirements, and deliver effective, compliant pest management services without unnecessary regulatory barriers.
The 2026 session includes significant legislation affecting agriculture, pesticide regulation, labor policy, water conservation standards, fleet emissions, and construction practices. Several bills with direct impact on green industry operations are scheduled for hearings this week.
